About Critical Pursuits

Critical Pursuits is the publisher of the Toolcritic and the Doyle Bluffs Movie Review. Critical Pursuits and the Toolcritic property were founded by Scott Daniel and Jeff Kunzelman, two ex-Yahoo technical and production guys that are passionate about tools. Their woodworking, carving, home improvement, construction, and other hands-on exploits in the years since they left Yahoo have driven them to purchase a wide variety of tools.

Each time the Toolcritic guys purchase a new tool, they do a heap of research using information both on and off of the Internet. They shared information with each other, but wondered if the results of their research might benefit other tool shoppers. Thus the idea for the Toolcritic was born.

The Toolcritic is a place where tool lovers and tool shoppers can read analysis, news and reviews before they make a purchasing decision. Come visit and write a reveiw of your favorite tool.

Remember, shopping on-line for tools is the most fun a person can have sitting in a chair. Good luck and happy shopping.

Doyle Bluffs Logo

Doyle Bluffs is the love child of Gomer Hinkle and Ira Crabtree, two good friends of the Critical Pursuits founders. Ira and Gomer write movie reviews in their own funny, tell-it-like-it-is style. Kick off your shoes, visit the site, and enjoy.
